Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus!

We are so blessed this Christmas Season! We have both sides of our families in town. So we began a tradition the year Myron and I were married. We start off by going to Christmas Eve service at Pikes Peak Christian Church (our church home). And this year was particularly wonderful because Myron didn't have to work! He began a new job today and so no work on Christmas Eve! After a beautiful service we headed over to my mom and dad's house for a delicious Christmas Eve dinner! The theme (yes we do themes at my mom's house) this year was Italian! yum! We had meatball subs, and a very yummy alfredo casserole. However, this was no time to be giving Haven red sauce so this was his first meal of green beans...
which didn't seem to catch his taste buds...but then...
they got better! we took a few pictures..(these must be mommy and Haven's presents....we've been very good!)
Then every year we celebrate my nephew Ryan's Birthday! He turned 18 this

year....yes I am getting old when I can say my nephew is 18...yikes...This is strategically timed so that we get birthday cake on Christmas Eve! We then spend time helping the "children" to write their last minute letters for Santa.

Then it's off to bed off to bed...for the children.

This is to give Santa ample time to set up any gifts that may have "some assembly required".

Then before we know it Mommy is waking everybody up at dawn because Santa has come!

Oh Grampy this is no time to sit down we have wrapping paper to play withActually I'm feeling a little sleepy..Yep time for nappy with daddy. But wait we still have to go to Grandpa and Nana's House! We must have been super duper good this past 5 months! We show up to Grandpa and Nana's around 10am, and this year we have a wonderful surprise....a white Christmas....lots of snow on the roads. Austin and Jasmine had an expedition to track on their way to Grandpa's too!It took us nearly 4 hours to open everything up...why because we had to break a couple times for food prep and daddy had to run all the way home for more video tape! It's hard to remember everything! But we had a wonderful time at Nana's and so many lovely toys to play with! but first another bottle...And of course what Christmas Day is complete without Christmas Dinner! Go Nana!

After all that food and toys and playing...time to tucker out.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnite!

Halloween 2007!

The studliest little man there is!For Halloween this year we celebrated more than ever! We began our joyful harvest season at our apartment complex party. They were great, they held a part Friday the 26th of October for all the residents. They paid for pizza, and candy, we played charades and even wrap the mummy! It was so much fun and Haven tuckered out before we even left! This year Grammy grew Haven his own little pumpkin. A ghost pumpkin that actually grows white. Then I spent almost 3 hours decorating/carving the lil sucker! I found a pattern on the Internet of the sweetest lil ghost I could find and then spent forever with one of those lil carvers cutting every lil detail! But it was worth it for Haven's first Halloween!
Then on Halloween Day we headed over to Memorial Hospital where Grammy works, because her department threw a wonderful monster bash! There were yummies for the mummies! and lots of candy for the rest of us. I made some festive cupcakes for the occasion and Grampy even put his handy work to the test when he built a cute pumpkin for the bean bag toss! We had a wonderful time and walked out with our fair share of goodies!
Then for Halloween night Grampy, Grammy, Haven, Isaac and I went out to the streets and got an entire bag of candy for all to share... and share we did......the great sugar crash of 2007!
